WELDERS:
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Must have a vocational degree in welding.
- High School Diploma.
- Min of 5-years experience as welder
- Must have exposure to metal fabrication concepts and processes.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- This position is responsible for working on running welding machines to fabricate aluminum, steel and stainless steel parts used for general construction.
- Responsible to interpret basic elements and can identify types of joints and welds.
SPECIFICATION WRITTER
The Specification Writer will interpret architectural, engineering, and interior design plans to
prepare standards and workmanship criteria, material and equipment lists, and specifications for
building construction activities.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Determine the needs of end-users, plan, gather relevant information, analyze documents, and references.
- Analyze related designs and plan drawings.
- Provide support in establishing a list and guidelines.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Architecture or Engineering.
- At least five years of experience in construction and/or engineering work environment interfacing and coordinating with A/E staff responsible for facility design and construction requirements
- Knowledgeable in specification software
- With a technical background in interfacing with engineers and construction professionals
- Medical center experience is highly preferred
- Exceptional technical writing and verbal communication skills
ELECTRICAL ENGINEER
The Electrical Engineer will be responsible for the conceptual design and review of the drawings
before submission to the clients.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Oversee the project detail design structure before submitting it to clients.
- Work with the Project Managers or Engineers in identifying the project risk and planning mitigation actions.
- Implement the best practices, code standards, and use of technology in the execution of designs/delivery.
- Provide weekly or monthly reports in the form of accurate and detailed reports.
- Partner with other groups and/or departments to pursue significant opportunities, as well as teaming with the Business Development Group to produce compelling and winning proposals.
- Ensure that the staff is competent and properly ELECTRICAL ENGINEER utilized, the undue risk is avoided, and the backlog is built to sustain the operation.
- Maintain awareness of industry trends (such as related technology, and green design), educates staff, and modify practices.
- Utilize Computer-Aided Design software and other equipment to support project designs and plans, when necessary
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Required degree in Electrical Engineering
- Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) required.
- Minimum of seven years experience in electrical engineering design
- Preferred to have handled government and healthcare projects.
- Ability to identify process and design improvements.
- Has a team mindset that enables staff to work together towards a common goal.
- Excellent English communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Willing to travel to client site.
PROJECT ESTIMATOR
The Estimator is responsible for developing Rough Order of Magnitude (ROM) and independent
government cost estimates for program and project budgeting, A/e designs, and construction.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Ensure that construction projects follow the guidance in Unified Facilities Criteria, UFC 3- 701-01, and all Construction Specifications Institute Divisions (architectural, electrical, mechanical, plumbing, or civil).
- Utilize a general contracting background to convert statements of work into items, quantities, and unit costs.
- Responsible for maintaining the institutional local construction costs data sets.
- Perform market studies and system/material availability and feasibility assessments.
- Develop estimates for interior and exterior work covering multiple Construction Specifications Institute Divisions (architectural, electrical, mechanical, plumbing, or civil).
- Perform cost analysis and do comparisons on multi-disciplinary, multi-million-dollar projects
- Performs other responsibilities associated with this position as may be appropriate.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- BS degree in Construction Management, Architecture, Engineering, Science or Mathematics or 10 years of dedicated construction cost estimating experience.
- 5 years of dedicated construction cost estimating experience or combined estimating and project management experience.
- Capable of developing interior and exterior work cost estimates using RS Means.
- Experienced with civil construction of water and sewer-containing structures, water and sewer conveyance facilities, pumping plants, concrete repairs, construction of structures (steel, metal, concrete, timber, masonry), asphalt placement, site work, construction surveying, and other civil construction. May also require certifications such as American Concrete Institute certifications.
- Experienced with mechanical systems, water treatment plants, hydraulic systems, and other mechanical construction.
- Experienced with electrical systems power plants, water treatment plants, pumping plants, electric equipment and systems; large capacity transformers, monitoring systems, power transmission lines; and other electrical construction. May also require certifications.
- Experienced with roofing systems, structural systems, waterproofing, and building envelope, etc.
- Specialized construction subject matter experts with expert-level experience in any of the above mentioned .
Electrician
Responsibilities:
- Execute plans of electrical wiring for well functioning lighting and other electrical systems
- Install electrical apparatus, fixtures and equipment for alarm and other systems
- Install safety and distribution components (e.g. switches, resistors, circuit-breaker panels etc.)
- Connect wiring in electrical circuits ensuring compatibility of components
- Prepare and assemble conduits and connect wiring through them
- Prevent breakdown of systems by routinely inspecting and replacing old wiring and insulated cables, cleaning circuits etc.
- Perform effective troubleshooting to identify hazards or malfunctions and repair or substitute damaged units.
Requirements:
- Training Certificates as Electrician from a vocational School.
- Minimum 5 years experience as an electrician
- Experience in residential, commercial, and/or industrial electrical systems
- Demonstrable ability to use electrical and hand tools (e.g. wire strippers, voltmeter etc.) and electrical drawings and blueprints
- Thorough knowledge of safety procedures and legal regulations and guidelines
- Excellent critical thinking and problem-solving ability
Civil Engineer
The Civil Engineer will provide technical expertise in the design and coordination of complex and
sophisticated projects involving the construction, renovation, and repair of various facilities. This
position will monitor and track the progress of designated projects and provide routine reports of
accomplishments to appropriate officials and offices.
Responsibilities:
- Provide civil or structural engineering technical advice and services on all matters pertaining to facilities maintenance and rehabilitation program in planning, design and construction.
- Manage assigned projects and ensure compliance with Health and Safety, construction codes and other federal requirements.
- Formulate and evaluate project plans to include cultural, socio-economic, value and risk management, technical considerations, aesthetics, engineering and cost considerations.
- Review proposed sites for a project and evaluate adequacy with regard to topography, subsurface conditions, utilities and other factors.
- Manage the development and review of construction documents for assigned projects and provide technical assistance to others for civil and structural systems, materials and specifications.
- Manage the technical portion of design, construction contracts, administration of contracts with architect-engineer firms.
- Meet with all stakeholders to promote projects, describe impacts and ensure adherence to schedules and designs.
- Perform other responsibilities associated with this position as needed.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering
- Must be a licensed Professional Engineer
- 5 years experience as a Civil Engineer in a, Engineering Consulting Company.
- Knowledge of fundamental civil engineering concepts, principles and practices
- Extensive experience handling mechanical engineering renovation projects.
- Comprehensive knowledge in site planning, building design and construction means, methods and codes.
- Extensive knowledge of scheduling, material and labor cost estimating sufficient to evaluate compliance environmental health, safety and protection requirements.
- Able to use computer software programs such as MS Office and CADD
- With a valid driver’s license
