Facility Maintenance Assistant
The Facility Maintenance Assistant will report to the Facilities Manager and is responsible for fulfilling the day-to-day needs of our clinics, working with contractors for professional repairs, raising issues to management, etc.
Knowledge and Skills Set
- Performs minor fixture jobs such as repairing broken locks, changing light bulbs, plastering broken walls, painting, and more minor repairs.
- Install appliances in offices and equipment in facilities.
- Check, inspect, and troubleshoot building systems such as ventilation or HVAC system.
- Collaborate and assist cross-functionally during renovations.
- Rectify any mechanical issues and oversee contractor and professional repairs.
- Ability to receive daily assignments through the work order process and carry out daily duties without supervision.
- Report to the maintenance manager or the facilities manager for issues.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or a general education degree (GED) required.
- Proven maintenance experience in the relevant industry.
- Ability to handle power and hand tools; should be able to use common tools such as drills, hammers, wrenches, hoists, saws, and other tools.
- Ability to check and read parts catalogs and repair manuals.
- Experience in performing routine maintenance operations.
- 36 months of experience in a hospital, hotel or apartment complex.
- Ability to stand and walk distances for extended period, ability work above shoulder level and lift at least 50 lbs.
- Follow up and organizational skills, along with time management skills, are required.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work with teams is expected.
